We love Austin. We love SXSW. We loved every moment we got to spend in this great city, every sound we heard, and every street style we saw…well maybe not every style but full appreciation for it all nonetheless!
It was a whirlwind of a time but we were fortunate enough to wiggle our ways into a few shows as well as just enjoy the sites and people of this great city.
First band up was our hometown boys, LA natives, The Allah-Las at Mellow Johnny’s Bike Shop. Their beachy hazing vibe was the perfect initiation to the festival.

Then the next day, we were able to see our current obsession, Alt-J at Stubbs. If you haven’t had the chance to listen to their debut album, An Awesome Wave, then do yourself a favor and click on that link.

Lastly…another band on the favorite list whom we were able to witness was the sister act, also from LA, Haim. (check out this video from the Filter Magazine SXSW’s Showdown)

Aside from the music, we also got to enjoy taking in the scene that is Austin. Here’s some snap shots through out our time

embrace the native inside of you and rock out with your fringe out

Just some little piggies on the street..but we did enjoy lots of Texas BBQ during our stay, as well

and plenty of an Austin staple…the breakfast taco both morning and (late) night

how true it is …at least during SXSW

last night in Austin..enjoying the sunset on the Congress Bridge
Followed by our last day in Austin, taking a dip before heading off into the desert for some more adventures in the great Southwest.

Up next…COACHELLA! Until then, though…follow along on our road trip back up to Cali at
